Oh the world of milk kefir! Have you entered this world yet? Kefir offers many healthy probiotics for your gut microbiome. I have always loved kefir smoothies but to start using it in other ways….that is where the research began. I was so excited when I stumbled upon a recipe using kefir to make homemade ranch dressing. Hhhmmm but how would it taste? So I tested it out and began making adjustments to the recipe. What I am sharing with you today is the recipe that I now use to make our family’s ranch dressing.

Ingredients:

First you must gather all your ingredients together.

  • Milk Kefir
  • Mayo
  • Garlic
  • Chives or Green Onions
  • Salt
  • Onion Powder
  • Black Pepper
  • Dill
  • Parsley
  • Lemon/Lemon juice/lemon essential oil
  • Arrowroot powder

Preparing Dressing:

Add all ingredients to your favorite blender and blend everything together until all combined.

Pour your dressing into a covered dish and set in fridge for 1-2 hours to let the dressing thicken up.

Then it is ready to use!

Storage:

Store the dressing in a covered dish in the refrigerator. I have stored my dressing in the fridge for a couple weeks and it was still good. Just need to mix it up. This dressing does get tangier as it is stored due to the milk kefir.
